Penrose Colorado Tourism

Penrose is centrally located for many outdoor activities, cultural programs, and sporting events.

Penrose has plenty of breathing space with very little traffic, lots of fresh air, and priceless views of the mountains and plains. Many outdoor recreational activities are available in Penrose or close by. Brush Hollow Reservoir offers hiking, boating, fishing and picnicking. The BLM managed Penrose Commons Road and Trail System offers miles of trail routes for motorized, bicycle, horseback and hiking recreation.

Nearby activities include white-water rafting on the Arkansas River, Royal Gorge Bridge and Park, camping, golf courses, skydiving, small and large game hunting, rock climbing, snow skiing at Monarch Ski Resort, and water skiing at Pueblo Reservoir.
