Visitors should stop at Greenhorn Meadows Park, a city owned park with a historical marker commemorating the 1779 battle between Comanche Chief Cuerno Verde and his warriors, and Spanish explorer Juan Bautista de Anza.
Fishing, camping and picnic facilities are available. For hunting, boating and more fishing opportunities, head to the westside of Colorado City to Lake Beckwith. For golfers there is a beautiful 27-hole golf course. |
