Loveland Colorado Tourism

Loveland is where the majestic Rocky Mountains meet the Colorado plains. It is nestled against the foothills and at the heart of one of the nation’s great scenic and recreation areas, the Rocky Mountains.

Over five million Valentines have been re-mailed through the Loveland Post Office since 1947, earning Loveland the nickname “Sweetheart City.”

Loveland is an exceptional place for people who love outdoor activities. Wintertime activities include cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, ice-skating and snow-shoeing. Spring brings the excitement of greyhound racing, fishing, rodeos, boating, hiking, biking and much more.

To the west is the “Devil’s Backbone”, an outcropping of bedrock featuring a keyhole. Don’t miss the vertical cliffs and sheer rock walls of Big Thompson Canyon further to the west.
