Dinosaur Colorado Tourism

Dinosaur Colorado pdf download

The town of Dinosaur is nestled under the shadow of Blue Mountain, just three miles from the Utah stateline in Northwest Colorado. It is centrally located for many of the activities you wish to pursue.

Dinosaur is the home of Dinosaur National Monument where you can see proof that dinosaurs were not just mythical figments of a story teller’s imagination.

A 35-mile drive to Harper’s Corner will allow you to see canyonlands like you never dreamed ever existed. There, you can take a tour on the mile long nature walk at Harper’s Corner which ends at the edge of the canyon where you will see the view of Steamboat Rock and the confluence of the Green and Yampa Rivers.

Rustic camping is allowed in Echo Park Campground, Pat’s Hole, Gates of Lodore, Deerlodge Park, Green River and Split Mountain. Dinosaur is also internationally known for its excellent hang gliding opportunities at nearby Cliff Ridge.
